Expo: New rendezvous

Le 1 february 2010

Expo: New rendezvous2009 may have been a very difficult year for the business travel market in global terms, but this hasn’t stopped service providers and buyers from busily preparing for 2010. A new rendezvous in France sets out to be part of their strategies: the business travel Market Place. As Joël Gangnery, CEO of Eventeo, the expo’s creator and organiser, points out: “The Market Place formula, a short-term expo for face-to-face meetings, fulfilling limited budgets and a true business vocation, has met the market’s expectations. Unlike many other countries, France has lacked a specialised trade expo open to all actors in the business travel domain!” By mid-November 2009, most of the field’s major players had already confirmed that they would be participating in all sectors: accommodation, transport, specialised agencies and networks, bookings centres, technological and management solutions, insurance or payment methods. “Considering the current economic situation, the signing up of exhibitors to this new concept demonstrates the relevance of the expo-market place, for privileged face-to-face meetings between buyers and sellers. Four months off from the event, 70% of the surface area was already booked and we should reach 100% very shortly,” adds Joël Gangnery.
On two days, 31 March and 1 April, at Porte de Versailles in Paris, the business travel Market Place will welcome visitors, large companies and SMEs-SMIs, as well as local authorities, administrations and professional organisations, wishing to find concrete solutions for optimising their business trips, via convivial stands, conferences and practical workshops. With an expected 4,000 visitors over the two days, the expo will allow exhibitors to meet existing and future clients.
