The globalisation of trade has meant that French businesses, whether small or large, no longer wonder what size they should attain before extending their commercial strategy abroad. International mobility is an essential lever in a development strategy and at each stage of development, the overall social security cover of employees has to be taken into account. Whether it be for one-off missions or longer-term expatriation, MV4Parunion offers companies competitive, tailor-made solutions. « Our role consists of listening to companies and helping them with their expatriation problems, then anticipating with them the risks and the required cover », explains Laetitia Mariaccia, International Manager of the Client Relationships and Development Department.

Helping companies with their international mobility problems calls for a careful examination of situations that are often complex from a legal and human point of view. Indeed, even within a simplified framework such as that of the European Community, which facilitates the mobility of European workers, moving to a foreign country remains a situation where HRDs and employees have a real need of assistance. Above all, therefore, it is essential to find the most relevant and flexible response in order to limit mobility costs on the one hand, and on the other, to give employees the best possible cover in terms of health, contingency plans, and retirement benefits.

Listen, help and protect
«Our task usually consists of designing specific solutions that offer a level of service that is at least equivalent to that developed for employees in France », says Laetitia Mariaccia. « The Group has acquired a great deal of experience over the years in covering risks abroad for major companies since its founder members were amongst the biggest companies listed in the CAC40. We have also developed a specific offer intended for SMEs : CAP EXPAT. This is a flexible offer that ensures different levels of guarantee for health and contingency plans. Our offers also allow us to keep in permanent contact with expatriates and their companies thanks to a network of multilingual medical specialists available 24/24». All this is extremely reassuring for expatriates and their families in Europe, or as is increasingly the case, in Asia and other developing countries.

MV4Parunion: the birth of a Group
The MV4Parunion Group came into being on 1st January 2006, as a result of a merger between two social insurance groups, MV4, specialising in health insurance and Parunion, whose business was mainly in the field of retirement plans. The coming together of these two businesses made MV4Parunion into the 5th biggest national provident group and the 6th biggest provider of complementary retirement benefits (ARRCO and AGIRC). MV4Parunion achieved a critical size and a new status that enabled it, whilst respecting the principles of co-management, to implement a more active development strategy. With a total of 1,400 employees, and 16 sales branches spread over the entire country, the Group pays out more than 560 million euros a year in services and 4,100 million euros in retirement benefits. Recognised by thousands of companies of all sizes, MV4Parunion’s specificity is a portfolio of members that includes a large number of major companies with more than 500 employees in fields as diverse as electronics, telecommunications, and the banking sector.
